JEWS,ISRAELIS read your history. 1892, 80,000 dunam (apx 20,000 acres) was purchased inc. The GOLAN by Baron E. de Rothschild. The land was registered in the name of PICA. during the 1940`s the french colony of syria tried to confiscate the land. The syrians became illegal occupiers of the Golan during the 1948 war. 1957 the deeds for the land purchase was transfered to the j,n,f. then to the Land office of ISRAEL.
All deeds & documents subsequently transfered to M.F.A. So if truth be known the GOLAN is both JEWISH, ISRAELI not only due to the land purchase but the archaeology of the are is full of JEWISH history. DK |
