| Yes he was a Sepharad, Benjamin. As well as the efforts of another great Jew from Florida who was in fact the first Jewish Senator of Moroccan descent David Yulee Levy (Levy`s County and Yulleetouwn in Florida?!). He was at first involved withe the Confedacy and then switched to the Union bringing Florida to it. Plus he was the son of a greater Jew, Moshe Yulee Levy , a Moroccan Jew who built the Florida railways and was an abolitionist. Great true story. |
