| Absolute fantasy. The Syrian position is clear--return to the lines of 1967, with Syrian access to the Kinneret. Their cities are not bombed by rockets or their buses blown up by terrorists. Why should they settle for less than their maximum demand. Here is an idea Israel. Declare that an attack on Israel from Hizbullah will be considered an attack from Syria--then shell Damascus--this will provide an incentive to keep things quiet. As things are now for Syria, there is no upside to a peace treaty and no down side to agression |
