| L: "In the U.S., those requesting a Green Card must take an oath that they will fulfill the rights and duties of citizenship," That is a requirement of FOREIGNERS who want to come to the USA. If you are born a US citizen then you need pass no "loyalty test" to retain that citizenship. Compare that with Liberman`s vision for Israel... If you are born an Israeli then your citizenship becomes dependent upon a loyalty oath, and if you refuse then your citizenship is revoked. If you are a foreigner who wants to become an Israeli citizen then no oath of loyalty is required AT ALL. Q: Why not? A: Because if you are a Jew then simply fronting up means that you are IN, but if you are an Arab then you Are Wasting Your Breath. Or, in short: The USA and Israel are complete opposites w.r.t. oaths of loyalty and citizenship. |
