Haaretz Service and Reuters: Israel's next government will be 'more Jewish and more Zionist'

to me all the talk about the necessity of a unity government in both the israeli & pal. camp (w/the view of arriving at 2-states) has looked as something like this:

imagine two ships in the middle of the ocean trying to make it in time to a certain coast & safe haven before all their resources run out & they`re bound to perish. they`re totally dependent on each other & decide to give the effort all they have together (read: annapolis process).

then with a 3rd of the journey left & very little resources it starts to look pretty dire & doubtful whether they can make it but some still retain hope. "miracles happen", you know.

then (read: elections & unity governemnts, headed by likud & hamas on board the pal. one /heading it) both ships suddenly stop, turn in the opposite direction & away from each other.
& people still say, they can still make it (read: all they need is a unity government), "miracles happen", you know.

i agree livni is right in sticking to her principles.
