What Bibi wants is for the Palestinians to agree to make peace with Israel without being given a sovereign state, which is a total falacy. Why should they? Would we have agreed to such a half-independent status in 1948 in which the British remained here, controlled sea and air space and forbade us to arm ourselves? This is just one example of Bibi`s narrow vision in which he expects others to behave as he wants them to.
What Bibi does not get is that Israel`s economic problems, our security, peace with Syria, and the Iranian threat all revolve around the implementation of a two state solution, and any other so called solution will augment our present problems and not solve the conflict.
It always amazes me how shortsighted Bibi is. But then, we know him already. Why should we expect otherwise? |
