| `Who is the U.S. president, Barack Obama or Joe Lieberman?` A silly rhetorical question, my friend. You and nearly everyone on the planet knows the answer. So I will posit a non-rhetorical question in response: what is your motive for asking your question in the first place? I`m rather weary of reading the same tired, old libels: `the Jews run US foreign policy`, `AIPAC controls the White House`, and other such nonsense. And so I must hope an intelligent fellow like you will recognise US Senators and Congressmen - Jewish and Gentiile alike - are free to travel the world on their own, meet with whomever will meet with them, and make whatever statements they wish as the news cameras click. Long have they done so, and no doubt will continue to do so. And neither they, nor their statements, represent the President`s foreign policies. Only those envoys picked by the President - the Sec`y of State first amongst them - truly do so. I hope you now have your answer. MV |
