There is only one way Israel can get rid of the sin of an oppressor, occupier and expansionist, which is to cease to exist.
The Arab concept of Israel as illegal imperialistic entity on Muslim lands didnt change since 1948. Do I need to remind what happened in Palestine in Nov. 1947 and May 1948? That conception, together with the cynical use of the plight of Arab refugees, found much sympathy with the hearts of many liberal antiimperialistic communities even before 1967. Somehow, in the course of years everybody seemed to forget that the occupation was the result of the Arab aggression, that was ready to enter into a battle of annihilation, according to the words of Papa Assad, battle repeated in 1973. Everybody forgot that before 1967 the West Bank was illegally annexed by Jordan, that never asked it back. Nobody cares that in 2005 Israel withdrew from Gaza in a desperate attempt to disconnect. As a result, shelling of Israeli south only increased. |
