Interesting opinion. While I can agree that Lieberman and his extreme views are unworthy of an Israeli politician, and should not be tolerated, I find that the focus of your piece is way too narrow. You seem to want to blame Livni and Bibi for dealing with this party when what you should consider is that this is where the 3rd most Israeli voters placed their trust... The problem here is with the public, and maybe with the past administrations who brought the country to this point, not with the current politicians who work with in the democratic framework of this nation.
And, while I can appreciate your strong views on Liberman, I would hope that, in the future, you would maybe focus on the real issues that brought us to this point rather than pointless name and blame games aimed at politicians who are simply trying to work within this flawed system. |
