| What is this conflict all about? Well for starters, go back to 47, and 48. The concept of two states, one partly Jewish, was simply not acceptable by the Arab world. Thus all the wars since. Israel has won battles, not the war. Arafat said, it`s a 100yr conflict with the Zionists..continuing. Viewed from that perspective, simplifies what is happening, and it`s resolution., whether the fifth column Israeli-Arabs loyalties, Abbas`s double speak, Syria`s nuke plant, Iran , Jordan`s blaming the settlements, etc. It`s not about anything but Israel`s existence. That realization should dictate Israel`s moves..NOT, a rich benefactor in NY, or Madoff`s thievery, or the Women in Green, or Kerry`s visit to Gaza. Israel needs recognized, secure and viable borders, not cease fire lines, with security. It then should define itself..a secular state or a theocracy..with a Jewish majority (for obvious reasons) as a refuge from 2,000 yrs of prosecution, continuing today. |
