| I`ve been watching with fascination, Israel`s responses to both Hez and Hamas. Sharon didn`t want a 2 front conflict (or war). I recall Israel`s desire not to get into it with Hez...and wanting to promote a peaceful solution with the Palis (thus the disengagement). Peres is more to blame for Israel`s ills than Sharon, or Rabin or Olmert. The other day he said he was sorry for the way disengagement was handled. Duh! Does that mean the disengagement itself, or what? More double talk from Peres..the great organizer, who still believes the Palis economy will determine their attitude in this conflict. (Recall the industrial park fiasco AND the "tunnel" incident years ago). This conflict is NOT about settlements, or tunnels, or border crossings, or the embargo on goods. It is NOT about Peres, or Bibi, or Lieberman, or Rabin, or Dayan, or Shamir or Begin or Golda. It is not about land for peace, or the Golan Hts. It is not about questionable practices by it`s leaders. Don`t you guys get it? |
