| SAM Regarding your claim that the name ISRAEL was chosen two days before May 14, 1948! My dear friend, For us the Jews this plot of land was and is the Land of ISRAEL forever! Guess what every Jew from the days of BENJAMIN of TUDELA and even before that called this land the Land of ISRAEL, and all the conquerors knew it, Even the British knew Israel IS Real, And made sure to engrave the Hebrew initials א``י Next to the word Paleshtina written in Hebrew (פלשטינה) On all of the Stamps, Coins, Seals and Money of mandatory Palestine Every Jew knows what are the Hebrew initials (Aleph Yud) א``י mean It has only one meaning ERETZ ISRAEL; translated in to English it means the State or the Land of Israel, Choose which you prefer best! By the way SAM, Do tell this to Our lovely SHOSHANNA who seems to forget why her grandparents came to this Particular Land, maybe opening the Passover Hagada could give her a clue! |
