| Dear Mr. Murakami, Unfortunately, the argument about eggs and walls is a lot like the chicken-egg problem. An evolutionist knows that the egg came first, but a creationist will believe it was the chicken. The Jews/Israelis will argue that they are the egg being smashed against the anti-Semitic/anti-Zionist system/wall. The Palestinians and their supporters will argue the opposite. The best thing someone like you can do is to be neither an egg or the System, but to be a third party that attempts to both harden the egg and soften the wall simultanously. (With that, I think this metaphor has run out of steam.) Darian |
