Thank you for your always fine metaphor and somehow more explicit terms than usual. But Israel is not such a complication as some intelligentsia or experts would like to put. Israel is only the last coming and enduring colonialism on earth. Just as simple as that. This is why people here tend to feel offended when you criticize them from the safety of a developed nation state which is only far from the wall. In the same way the apartheid South Africa would feel toward the criticism of the West or the colonialists in Algeria toward Sartre. And this proximity to the wall doesn`t mean Israelis can understand more about Palestinians as the cases above. |
