Just my op: #11 I don`t think it`s laziness. Mr. Murakami is a novelist, not an analyst or politician. His novels are deep, really deep, well written, and describe this struggle. He`s not referring to any specific state, but to the system itself, and by system, he isn`t just referring to technology or a conspiracy theory. He`s referring to the way we get trapped in certain roles: whether its kids getting brainwashed at an extremist Madrasa or college students donning Kafiyahs and thinking they`re out there saving the world when they`re only causing more problems.
Mr. Murakami writes books that make people think and works with few screams and few media appearances and does a far better job in making the world a better place than many well-meaning politicians and activists.
#10 I don`t agree and don`t think he`s referring specifically to the Separation Fence. He`s referring to the very fact that we need one to protect us. He`s referring to eggs, people vs forces beyond our control. |
