Mr. Murakami,

What you said in your speech really shines out in your books--the grabbing of the truth by the tail and supporting the egg.

When I start reading, I simply can`t put your work down--even with a 40+ fever, feeling like I`m going to die. I just can`t get over how you are a master of both novel and short story, how you weave your storylines, how you bring out the battle between the individual and the system, and how you get us into your characters, their lives, memories, emotions, and struggles. It`s hard to believe how well you pull us into your world and inside your characters, or bring them out to us.

You and your writing are an inspiration.

Thank you!
B

RE 1 and 2: Perhaps you`ve read some of Murakami`s books. But in case you haven`t, make sure you do! You`ll see where he`s coming from. His words are NOT from the same tired metaphors and reference frames we`re all sick of having imposed on us. Any book will do, but be warned: you`ll get hooked.
