While I agree with all that you say about The System, I must also say that The System brings us so much of what we need and cherish. The System lets us flush our toilets, drink cold water when we`re thirsty, pour warm water to clean our clothes and dishes, turn on lights and all of our electrical things, let us visit our grandchildren living 3000 mies away, access the information of the internet, get an education, blah blah blah.
The System is today`s tower of Babel, Look out the window from your hotel and you can see the ruins of the original Tower of Babel.
If we cannot communicate effectively, compassionately and lovingly among ourselves, we will, in effect, be speaking different languages and our modern Tower of Babel will fall. You see, it`s really quite fragile, though few really understand that.
So at the very same time that we have to monitor The System`s tendency to run amuck against our individual interests, we also have to love and support it. ?? |
