| The notion that the Palestinians of today are the same "Palestinians" of antiquity is Palestinian nationalist mythology. Today`s Palestinians are an ethnic mish-mash of peoples from N. Africa, Arabia, Mesopotamia, Persia, Turkey, Greece, Bosnia, etc. Just last night I had dinner with a Palestinian proudly claiming her heritage as coming from Morocco! One of Hamas` key leaders name is "al Masri" which is Arabic for "Egyptian." Peter, your statement is an echoing of oft repeated Arab nationalist propaganda, and an extension of Imperial Rome`s attempt to de-Judaize Judea. That would make you a neo-Roman imperialist!
