| Obama`s agenda, priorities differ from those of Israel-Esther Esther, they should differ. America and Israel are two different countries. We do not have the same democratic principles, values or culture that would bind us to the conquest of the lands that Israel wants to annex by force. We do not necessarily share the same enemies. For example, Hamas is not our enemy. It is Israel?s enemy. While China and Russia are still considered adversaries, they are no threat or problem for Israel. Neither do we always share the same friends. Saudi Arabia, Egypt and many other Muslim countries are our friends but not your friends. America has global interests and responsibilities. Israel has only regional interest and no responsibilities regionally or globally. It is the same with all countries as well. That Jews and Israelis seem to think that we are one and the same is pure propaganda and is what distorts the politics and policies in both countries with negative consequences. |
