| Greetings Peter and thanks for always being there and standing up. I remember once seeing one of those enormous volumes purporting to be the history of the world in one book and, on the map of the world described as being "in the time of Abraham" the area from Syria to Egypt is marked only as "Palestine". Interesting since it was the Romans who gave part of ancient Israel that name so much later. Probably a British book published during the mandate;so they titled the area Palestine. As you know it was the Jews who were "Palestinians" in 1947. And so it goes. You`ve got to hand it to them though; they are much much better at the doublespeak than Israel has ever been. |
