| Israel has enough leverage to extract Shalit from captivity without having to free the chief architects & the many facilitators of arab terrorism & mass murder Israel now holds. All that has been lacking is the will in the former political "leadership" to use the various means at its disposal to do so. The deflated national morale is directly traceable to this failure of political committment to the issues of national security & real support of our soldiers. Their sacrifices are continually undermined by extravegant give-aways to our enemies, which in turn threaten the civilian population. Our enemies are empowered in every way by these miscalculations. Who among us benefits & how? These questions need answers, & this situation needs to be changed. Hopefully the elections will acomplish what the former gov`t did not. Meanwhile, cancel the current unnecessary offers for Shalit. It is past offers like these which made his kidnapping attractive originally & will prompt future attempts. |
