It is not the the oath of loyalty that is bothersome; but rather demanding it from a population which has been, by and large, very loyal. The attempt is clearly an election sticker that aims to devalue and brand as disloyal. Stickers are oversimplification and ready grist for the gong ho public.
I found the general attitude of the gong ho for the war, any war, so close minded that it may have rendered many people unable to distinguish between demonstrating against the war and supporting Hamas. Demonstrating against the war is so different from supporting Hamas. We must not forget that Hamas has asked for the war and demanded it daily by rockets. So Supporting the war is tantamount to supporting Hamas. |
