| We used to have a similar thing over here in the UK with Margret Thatchers govt refusing to talk to terrorist IRA. Once she was booted out though secret discussions began followed by a ceasefire and peace process & eventually peace. The idea that you can have peace without talking to your enemies is, as any rational person would realise, stupid. Now I know Hamas aren`t the IRA and the senario is different but the only way to encourage the `doves` within hamas is to show progress through negotiation. BOTH sides have to be serious about wanting peace though. |
