Well, let`s see -- Hamas has sworn to destroy Israel and murder all Jews, and they work to carry that out by importing high grade weaponry from Iran and firing it at Israeli civilians. This is their main mission. Some of their recruits might direct traffic from time to time, I`m sure some of them play sheshbesh and watch TV from time to time. But if they have taken an oath to destroy Israel, and murder all Jews, then Israel pretty much has to take them seriously, don`t you think?
If you like you can argue that Israel should be destroyed, but it`s hard to make a case that Israel should allow it to happen.
Silly idea -- what if Hamas rejected that oath of destruction and tried to find a way to live WITH Israel? Impossible, right? But I don`t see any Israeli military campaigns in the West Bank, Egypt, Jordan...
(by the way, population of Gaza is 1.6 Million. Either Israel does not consider all Palestinians to be terrorists, or they have extraordinarily bad aim.) |
