Gideon, your article covers the whole motley mess but does not analyze what`s wrong. You can`t talk about rejecting the Zionism of this or that faction without understanding what Zionism was, what it is and who and what deflections from it call themselves Zionism. It would be helpful to all of us if this was attempted in this newspaper.
The left sank also because the public is required to be as devious as its political class has become. Voting Kadima when you are Meretz means going against instinct and better judgment. When you have to do this in order to outwit a political system you know the whole thing is rotten. |
