A Likud coalition including Lieberman is the answer to my prayers, and to the prayers of those who understand that a tough Israel is a strong Israel.
It has nothing to do with Jews.
It has everything to do with Arabs.
Arabs respect very little generally, but they do respect strength; they understand violence and, sadly, respect that even more. If they are paid five coins for their every one, the missiles will stop. Even Jihadist idiots like Hamas will understand that the cost will become too high for them to manage.
It is not how Jews -- and Israel -- prefer to live, but the Arabs have made it necessary to do so.
G-d bless the State of Israel and its new government, no matter what its makeup. But I believe it will be Netanyahu. He can put together a coalition of 63 to 64 seats; I see Livni being able at best to muster 54 to 55 seats. Lieberman will not be a part of Livni`s coalition -- he wants the Ministry of Defense portfolio, and Livni will not give it to him. |
