Not forever; for 40 years.
The sociologist Max Weber asserted that all peaceful, civil society is founded upon violence, and pretty much every political scientist and sociologist concurs.
"Real security" comes with a certain level of violence. The idea of a totally peaceful world seems divorced from reason. Perhaps after the Messiah comes. Tho maybe Maimonides doubts it even then.
Nor would a hypothetical brainwashed world be better -- nor less violent. |
