In all these permutations Labor is included. If Labor decides not to join these potential coalitions, Netanyahu +/- Lieberman will have hard time to put together a coalition that is not a right wing to the extreme. This will put Israel in an untenable political bid vis-a-vis the world and the US, which is a good thing. Labor MUST make a conscious decision to stay away from any governemnt led by Likud or Kadima. Only as a reformed opposition party it can rehabilitate itself and hope to grow in size and stature so that it can lead a center/left of center coalition in the election after next. |
