Israel is so often compared to South Africa in the apartheid era but is actually more like the United States before the civil rights movement. The US does not like to remember this fact, but they treated many different races in their country far worse than Israel has ever treated its Arab citizens.
Native Americans, the Chinese imported to build the railways, the Japanese who were interned in WWII, black slaves and the Mexicans who lived on the land before it was incorporated into the US. Perhaps Rice and Obama like to remember this before lecturing Israel? |
