The true racists are those who do not hold all Israelis to the same standard. Levy has again abscured the facts. Kach was banned because it did not fit the criteria of a democratic state, yet some Arab parties are calling for its destruction.While some Israelis are racist and saying that only some have to go to the army or conduct national service (working in kindergartens, hospitals, old age homes) some minorities are not expected to do anything. This is pure racism. Lieberman is asking for one rule for all and absolute equality.
The issues that Lieberman raises are based on merits and not race (notice he doesn`t even bother to raise the uncomfortable issues themselves). If people are below the bar of what is acceptable in a democracy then it shouldn`t matter if they are Jew or Arab.
