As Israel has a policy of killing political opponents it is no surprise that this man has remained in hiding. Allegations of cowardice do not ring true as so many Hamas leaders have been killed or wounded that no coward would even join Hamas, let alone take a leadership role.
Apart from the personal nature of some of the comments, and the claim that `Israel does not talk to terrorists`, if a ceasefire is to be viable both sides must talk to each other, even if via mediators.
Killing Zahar will not help Israel negotiate a ceasefire. |
