The secular Meeretz do and have always wanted a solution that will eventualy lead to a single state. Zionism is not an ideology they believe in.
They don`t say it on the record but their preferable solution want what the arabs call a democratic state for all not a jewish state because they believe that is the only way to bring long term peace and two states is only a tempory solution.
If we start with two states the Israeli arabs may find an increased enthusiasm to push for a single secular state combiniing Israel & the palestinian state.
The Israeli arabs would start to try get the world to take notice of their cause while Meeretz of course would take the side because it would finaly be acceptable for them to talk about their perfect little dream world where arab & jew have lots of group hugs as they live together in peace and happiness forever.
Meeretz are very secular bunch of idiot idealists and theorists who live in a fantasy world not the real one. |
