The logic would be as follows:
1. If someone is trying to kill you with a knife knowing full well you have a gun, you have no obligation to fight with a knife. You may use the gun to defend yourself.
2. If the agressor is trying to kill civilians, the agressee MUST do everything possible to defend itself, and has no obligations to use the enemy`s methods to defend itself. The agressor is KNOWINGLY taking the risk - therefore the agressee is largely absolved of responsibility.
3. If Hamas stopped trying to murder Israelis and rearming, no-one would be killed whatsoever (except the Fatah people that Hamas like to summarily execute). |
