since there was real time intelligence that hamas was using an ordinance that contains phosphorous, the injuries that are attributed to the use of phosphorous, if true, could be the result of hamas weapons.
the use of idf documents describing the effects of phosphorous no way indicates that the idf in fact used phosphorous illegally. all armies would have such information. israel, surrounded by enemies armed with chemical and biological weapons, would be irresponsible if she did not have such information available to magen david adom and various idf medical officers, including the chief of trauma. such information is obviously necessary in case the idf or israeli civilians are attacked by phosphorous. |
