Even if it were true that Lieberman was associated with Rabbi Kahane for a short period of time, that shouldn`t make any difference to the voter because: 1) Lieberman would have been a university student then and trying on different "intellectual shirts" as it were is all part of academic curiosity; 2) Rabbi Kahane was a proud Jew who showed Jews by example how and why to stand up for themselves. Lieberman`s pride in being Jewish may well have been influenced by Rabbi Kahane. Is that so bad? What we`ve been lacking lately in Israel, incidentally, is just such pride.
Finally, all these denigrating articles about Lieberman are coming out just when he appears to be making significant inroads into the Israeli political scene. Sounds like bad faith by the media publishing all these negative articles. As for me, it just strengthens my resolve to assist Mr. Lieberman and Yisrael Beiteinu. |
