| First, this information, based as it is on US and Israeli sources, should be taken with more than just a little grain of salt. Obviously, it is the policy of both countries to paint any Iranian activity in problematic turns. HOWEVER.....if the intelligence is true, then it is an extremely serious threat which must be met head-on. I can understand Iranian desire to establish a sphere of influence in the Middle-east. But, there is only one explanation for such activity so far from home, and that is destabilization of Western interests and pro-Westernregimes. Looks like a little cold war deja-vu, and if accurate calls for a steadfast Western front against this nation. |
