Waltzing, for all its artistic innovations, is, like this columnist, an essential part of the Israeli assault on the Palestinians. By crying about the dead children, you create a moralistic cacoon around your nation. We`re such a peace-loving people, even though we`ve killed a half-million Arabs since our state was founded, and stand ready to expand that in number and reach by adding a few thousand Persian Moslems to the tally soon. Twenty years from now, in the midst of another ethnic cleansing operation, a veteran of the Gaza massacre will be crying as well. I agree with Ovadia this much: there is not a moral equivalance between the two sides.
