Barak`s idea has great merit. For all those who instantly condemn him, remember: If nothing else, the Gaza Cast Lead has proved that Israel can never entirely dominate the Palestinians.
Therefore, unless Israel wants nothing but continuous war in the future, Barak`s proposal is worth considering. Israel will never know safety and security, no matter how many more Cast Leads it conducts, until it recognises that Palestinians are residents of the Holy Land and have equal rights. And gives them those rights. |
