Bradley Burston: 'Waltz with Bashir,' Gaza, and the post-moral world
Talkback
Title:"Waltz with Bashir" is a really good movie -
Name:ivo
City: pragueState:
it really takes you.
& yes, we should all be anti-war & seek moderate, political solutions wherever these may be found.
& burston is a great writer.
but that`s about where it stops.

unfortunately, in spite of all the right & good things he`s saying burston falls into his, by now obviously favourite trap of annihilating everything with everything.

if one follows his drift right in the middle of where we are in the ME, right now at this moment, what`s his conclusion exactly?
to sit down, raise the white flag & wait for the messiah?

& no, we do not live in a post-moral world (maybe he meant "post-moralistic", but that`s something else). we can`t & we never should.
that`s what burston`s job is all about, i thought.
(& not all politicians are morally bankrupt liars.)

last note: there can`t possibly be a more introspective, neurotically self-critical, inward gazing & intensely self-scrutinizing ehtnic group on earth than the jews.
so what`s burston talking about?
