Ha`aretz gets caught up in the rhetoric of the story, and fails again to use the correct lexicon.
Hezbollah is telling everybody they are planning to carry out international war crimes. This should bring about an immediate condemnation from all human rights organizations. Hezbollah has in the past carried out war crimes against Jewish targets, and apparently plans to do it again.
Yet the human rights organizations are silent. Knocked dumb by their political incorrectness. The media, including Ha`aretz, has also fallen into the trap, calling this "vengence", and glossing over the fact that Hezbollah wants to kidnap or kill innocent civilians - war crimes in any other situation except when it involves Jews.
It`s time for the human rights organizations to stand up and be counted. Either human rights are universal, or they should close their doors and go home in shame. |
