Most people form their memory based on the most recent experience.

What is it for most Israelis in the last 10 years?

Failure of Oslo, suicide attacks on restaurants and buses, departure from Gaza, Qasams in Sderot.

These experiences for a very strong perception, that the other side wants to kill you despite all the peaceful moves from you side. Maybe perception is the reality?

And with this reality - is the distant history that important?
