Yes, I agree with the author.
Instead of wasting needless billions to build fortified buildings in the South of Israel (becoming more and more north by the day), psychological support infrastructures for about half of the people under missile fire, new hospitals to deal with those maimed and significantly injured and of course new cemeteries for the dead, we should build a very safe tourist center for Sderot. International visitors can come and visit, and with classical music in the background, watch the missiles fly over towards Tel Aviv, and whilst sipping on Cappachinos and looking at that glorious statue of Swords being beaten into plowshares. Then the tourists can cross the border, called the "peace crossing" and sip on Turkish coffee in a similarly built Palestinian tourist center watching in real time Israel`s latest technologies in anti-missile interception in front of their very eyes. Saalam. Shalom! |
