President Obama sent Mr. Mitchell with the instruction to "listen", not to talk or "dictate". But it is now abundantly clear that Mitchell did a lot of talking too, and expressed Obama`s absolute support for Israel`s policy regarding the settlemets. Obama also wants to make sure that Palestinians are deprived of their access to tunnels to bring in much needed supplies. It looks like France, Germany and UK will help in this regard.
I was shocked and dispmayed to read this article. United States doesn`t really have a new policy regarding Palestinians. It`s the same old Bush`s anti-Palestinian policy bottled in a sparkling new Obama bottle. |
