Turkey today has become an open air prison for secular educated modern Turks and especially women. Outside several big cities it is not possible to order a glass od wine or a beer. Women who do not cover themselves are verbally attacked and even called prostitutes by one of the members of the government.
Under the case of ERGENEKON many retired military officers, journalist the leader of the workers party have been detained with no allegations of any crime some over a year 1 died in prison.
I believe the Human Rights should investigate and take action for the benefit of the modern secular Turk. |
