Yes there is a food shortage and it will only get worse. Many in Gaza are farmers who grow fruit&veg to sell in the markets and to feed their families. Others had commercial farms & they exported to Europe. In the last few weeks farms & crops were destroyed by bombs and bulldozers.Their animals have been killed so there is very little meat available and now almost 750,000 are depending on food aid from UNWRA a lot of which is held up at the crossings.
Before this "war" 65% of children were malnourished due to the seige.
