| I remember debates in Israel regarding whether Israel had a moral obligation to press for Turkish recognition of the Armenian genocide. Folks would argue that it is best - for Turkish-Israeli relations - for Israel to keep quiet. We betrayed the Armenians and their collective suffering, and for absolutely nothing. Israel must continue to take the moral high ground, especially in light of the international anti-semitism it is faced with today. Shame on Turkey who`s leaders have no moral standing whatsoever to lecture Israel. |
