- is that their belligerent stance, unchanging as it is, vis a vis israel is completely without any reason /justification, on any terms considered valid anywhere in the world.
there`s no occupation to point to, no age-old grievances, no prisoners, no threats /claims to lebanese territory from israel, not even a closeness in religious affiliation vis a vis the pals.
what they`re up to is so flagrant & obvious. while at least half the world is trying its best to somehow contribute to a peaceful resolution in the ME (albeit in disparaging ways), this group insists on holding the whole of lebanon hostage to an iranian scheme (again, not justified & coming from "nowhere") in the area, based on khomeini`s brand of shiite islam.
you don`t know if this is the worst thing /whether it`s the fact that "sensible" people have a hard time recognizing it. |
