| Originally, sortir was a name for a public toilet - since men and women were "sorted" at the entrance. It kind of lost this meaning now, and it now refers to any toilet. Killing is usually a very messy business with side production of various body fluids. The criminal slang for killing in Russian is "mochit`" - meaning "to make wet". Which adds an extra parameter to Putin`s remark - "mochit` v sortire". Oh, Russian language, Russian language!!! |
