Hamas has been doing this for years - launching rockets into Israel from schools, etc. Terrrorists used the churches in Beit Jala to shoot at Gilo, and Hizbollah used this tactic throughout the 2nd Lebanese war - nothing new here. What is new is the fact that impartial sources are beginning to verify that this is so. When Israel made these claims they were always pooh poohed by the rest of the world. The difference is that this time Israel did not fall for it and went ahead regardless - attacked where the fire was coming from. According to the Geneva conventions any hostile fire that emanates from a civilian position renders it a legitimate target.
There you have it. STOP USING CIVILIANS AS HUMAN SHIELDS! |
