| Your knowlege of History is a bit inaccurate. Fortunately, I am old enough to understand what happened in 1948 because I am over 80 years old. Israel declared itself a state at a meeting in Tel Aviv. Arab nations sent armies into Israel to throw the Jews into the sea. (That was the rallying cry) Israel had few people and no armaments, but managed to retain a portion of its land. Jordan took over Judea and Samaria and Jerusalem, tearing down synagogues, using the Western Wall as a latrine, using centuries-old gravestones from the Mount of Olives to pave their roads, ad killing elderly Jews in Jerusalem. The leaders of the Arab armies had earlier told their fellow Muslims living in the area to leave so that they would not hinder the march of Arab armies. When the war was over, about one million Jews were sent, with only the clothes on their backs, from Arab nations, some of which like Jordan still are judenrein.
